Case Study
Government Financial Services
Faced with aging IT infrastructure and rising costs, We implemented a secure, scalable cloud solution for a Federal Financial Organization.

A Federal Banking Institution needed support in assessing the migration of its complex e-Invoicing application to AWS GovCloud. The project required expertise in application, database, and security to develop a migration roadmap and effort estimate. Our goal was to help the client evaluate options post-data center sunset and recommend strategies for cybersecurity operations.
Our client engaged us to assess their proposed environment and architecture design.
We helped our client establish a cloud-based environment for continued operation of a critical application after on-premises datacenter shutdown.
Cloud resources were to allow for rapid deployment and high scalability without significant change to the existing application.
Identified several areas where meeting FIPS compliance requirements was not possible in original architecture.
Recommended Blue/Green deployment design.
Provided sample Cloud Formation Templates (with in-line comments) for Financial Banking Institution use.
Identified concern with CIDR block assignment.
Existing maturity of on-premises automation using WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST) demonstrated a mature team and a solid head start on automation in cloud environments.
Federal Banking Institution goals for containerization and serverless technologies will ultimately position the enterprise for more supportable and resilient solutions in the future.
